Her Experiences

Speaking of Kristen, my greatest impression of her is the determination in her eyes. It's so keen that you can easily pick her out in a crowd. She just exudes confidence and good upbringing all over. When I said hello, she even addressed me as "Miss Vice." It wasn't until Irridon introduced Kristen that I learned she is a probationary judge. We were talking when %s tripped over a child and splashed water on Kristen, but she didn't get mad. Instead, she disciplined the kid for running amok and made sure %s wasn't hurt, so she is very tolerant. My gut feeling tells me she will be an excellent Judge!

Her Story (I)

I was born to the Ivans in Lumopolis. My parents afforded me the most classic education for an aristocrat from childhood. My younger years were filled with a variety of training, from musical instruments, singing, dancing to etiquette, literature, and cooking. I was always going from one lesson to another. My vocal coach thought I have a great voice and would surely be a famous singer. While I could learn and apply the skills taught to me well, I didn't enjoy the cramped schedule or the repetitive work. To my parents, it was just an effort to better conform me to what a noble is supposed to be. Learning the intricate skills was meant for me to please others just like they did and become a part of the upper society.

Her Story (II)

I understand their intent and I don't hate the meticulous rules and etiquette. Just the opposite, I believe communicating with proper, elegant words could ease the mind. I only started resisting their plans after starring in a string of operas. In my youth, I was a regular on the theater stage. My parent hoped I would make a name as a child star, and I went along with that. Every performance, I'd sing the same songs from the same scores, until I slowly realized I couldn't express my true feelings that way, and that my true self is overshadowed by the character I played. Eventually, I grew tired of the "pretend life." That was when the notion to plan my own life how I wanted began to take hold in my mind.

Her Story (III)

Then, my excellent grades gained me admission into the Dawn Academy and started to study broader, more structured subjects, which opened my eyes to the many possibilities available, as well as careers I could choose. While in school, I'd resolve conflicts between fellow students so soon enough, I was practically a "mediator" to them, which filled me with unprecedented pride. My true calling didn't match the wish of a socialite mingling freely among the high society that my parents had, but it was to uphold justice with my knowledge and the law, ensuring the peace and growth of Lumopolis. Don't you think that is incredibly uplifting, %s?

Her Story (IV)

After I realized my aspiration, I began actively seeking an avenue to join the Hall of Justice. Schoolmates told me that in addition to keeping up good grades, I have to pass the qualifying exam. Therefore, I studied day and night just to earn the right to get into the Hall. This time, I wouldn't be relying on my parents' status or following their wishes. Rather, it's me, Kristen, giving all I got and pursuing my own path.
Following graduation, I became a probationary judge like I hoped for, with much on-the-job guidance from Irridon. During my internship, I was often met with problems that could not be resolved strictly by the law as written. Sometimes, personal biases from parties involved in the case would make progress difficult. My work isn't going as smoothly as I imagined, but I will keep working hard! Just like a salmon would still swim against the torrent...
