Her Experiences

There seems to be a subtle difference between the Ms. Blanc now and before. She is, of course, as graceful as ever, but she's paying even more attention to her looks, like she would check herself out in every reflection, put on more perfumes, and even the way she held a teacup. Her beauty still belied her amazing agility, though. I saw her leap from the bottom of stairs to the top, so elegant and spectacular with her dress swayed in the air like a blossoming crimson rose. It was gorgeous, so... uh, I only told %s about this, but I imitated her leap sometime after and... uh, my ankles, back and tail are still hurting to this day.

Her Story (I)

Do you think this dress is pretty? Thank you for the compliment. I was mulling over whether I should get a new one, but I'll keep this one since you like it. Yes, this is an old dress I haven't worn in years. Why an old dress? Youngsters like you probably won't understand. When you get older, the best way to show off is not to own more outfits but to still be able to fit into ones from more than a decade ago, which means you kept your figure. It's not easy to do, requiring more discipline and effort than the day before, for decades at a time. Of course, normal people would find it hard, but it wasn't that tough for me.

Her Story (II)

You're curious about my previous job? Nightwatch indeed involved confidentiality issues, so forgive me for not being able to divulge more. Don't have to apologize, you didn't step over any bounds with your question. Tonight, only the wind heard that Nightwatch answered only to the City Lord and carried out secret missions. Heh, the way you covered up your ears is rather cute. It's making me want to reveal more... Just kidding. Even though my days as the captain of Nightwatch are long gone, I'm not going to break any rules. What? You're not interested in secret Nightwatch operations but in my dress? As the captain, it was my prerogative to fight in a dress. I must remain graceful even when facing Eclipsites.

Her Story (III)

Why do I call myself "Guardian of Lumopolis," you ask? I didn't give myself that moniker. When I was born, my parents consulted a prophet and got a "She will become the Guardian of Lumopolis" type of response, so I was destined. Since childhood, I've been consciously following my duties, from picking up litter and pathfinding to enforcing the law and fighting violence. I never showed mercy to those who dared to upset order in Lumopolis. Everyone saw me as the Guardian of Lumopolis at the time except for the haughty nobles. That was why all noble members of the team objected to the City Lord appointing me as the leader. So I challenged anyone on the squad to fight me for the position. I'm sure you guessed the ending. I became the leader.

Her Story (IV)

You noticed I was a little distracted in that fight against Eclipsites? How astute of you to discern I was only a second late in my kills. I didn't run into any problems, just making sure my makeup didn't run... Yes, I confirmed it from the reflections in the Eclipsites' pupils. It's a habit from my Nightwatch days. In a battle, I thought I saw a glint of the redness out of fear in the eyes of an Eclipsite I was about to kill, as if it was begging for mercy. I thought it was actually intelligent and hesitated, until I quickly realized it was a reflection of my slightly ripped dress, as well as... messy hair. Sure, I was in a fight, but such an untidy look was still intolerable. From then on, I got accustomed to checking myself in the enemy's eyes. Executing a mission flawlessly in a pretty dress is the personal law and order I must maintain.
