I've met many oddball Aurorians on the Colossus to date, yet this child still managed to freak me out. She would call me "Sage of the Ancient Forest" whenever she saw me... It wasn't till later that I learned she was playing some sort of a roleplaying game. While I'm cool with the "Sage of the Ancient Forest" moniker, I had to play my part with Zeta all the time... which demanded a certain level of energy and improvisation. Now that I think about it... How could Zeta be so full of energy every day? Is she always hyped up on sugar? Guess I can't refuse candy from her next time.

What, you want to know about my past? I get it, though. It's a sign of intelligence to dig into another's history, right? So, where should I begin? I don't know much about my parents. They're just two names other people would mention for as far back as I could remember. Roy would say "Your Highness"... I mean, he would tell me my parents went somewhere far, far away. Leaving me behind is indeed despicable, but I think being a Faraway Traveler is super cool! Hey, why are you looking at me with pity in your eyes? You just don't get the spirit of adventure. Don't tell me you really thought I bought the dumb story from Roy! Never mind, that's moot anyway. What's important to a warrior is not the past, but what the future holds.

You probably won't believe this, but I lived through the Darkover War! How old was I? Maybe five, six, seven, eight, nine, or ten. I don't quite remember!
That was when the Cursed Berserker led us on a long march to save Lumopolis... You asked Roy? What does it mean that Roy is the mightiest patriarch in Rediesel Wrench? Exactly what it says. He's in charge of logistics, transportation, and taking care of us kids who just started learning to walk... Oops! I mean, that didn't include me. I was throwing bombs by then!
Anyway, the experience was precious to me! I read Conan the Enlightened for the first time, rode a fast car for the first time, and ate candy when I wasn't supposed to for the first time...

When I rode in a fast car for the first time, I could feel my blood pumping and the call to adventure! Too bad it wasn't until I was nine before I developed the tactical mind of a warrior to avoid all the watchful eyes and sneak aboard the Frankencar parked inside the warehouse!
That was the moment! I felt I was one with the vehicle, my excitement told me I had found my destiny! Even though I couldn't tell the brake from the gas pedal, some unknown force nevertheless guided me out of the base in the Frankencar, and ran over three Eclipsites to boot! Oh, I was fine, other than a broken right hand, though that was when the Eternal Night got in through the cracks and made me its host.

I'm pretty sure you know the rest. The legend of Zeta the Warrior... Started participating in tug of war at age thirteen and won it in three years. Nothing special, just part of my destiny is all. Hahaha!
However, even though I was happy to win, the victory also gave me a new purpose, like that of... a main quest unlocked in roleplaying games. In this case, it's to defeat the demon king's minion, the woman called Azure!
I already won the championship, so why do others still say, "Zeta wouldn't have won if Azure was in it"? I guess I have to beat her and show all of you who is better!
