Her Experiences

For a very long time, the Florine I knew had always been quiet and hardworking, devout and upright like everyone else in Lumopolis, strictly observing her own rules.
Until one day, %s, Florine and I went on a mission together, and she requested to return to the Colossus alone when we were finishing up. Out of curiosity, I looked at her on our way back.
There were two dead rabbits in her arms, probably innocent victims of our earlier battle. Florine laid them to rest in a pit created during the combat and covered them with soil. I watched her crouch before the simple grave, her shoulders shivering.
Slowly, her figure became smaller and smaller, and eventually, there was only a gray dot on the ground.

Her Story (I)

You want to know my past?
Well, it's not that interesting, but I guess it doesn't hurt to share with you.
I was born in a small, powerless noble family in Lumopolis. My father was a knight, always busy with work and rarely home. My mother was a housewife but not very good at any household duties. When I fell ill, all she could do was tell me to drink more water. Therefore, I learned everything from cooking to washing at a very young age to look after my mother and myself.
I have always wanted to be a knight and take combat training secretly. However, a girl like me who couldn't afford the high tuition fee of Dawn Academy had to marry early in Lumopolis.
I'm constantly praying to the God of Light for an opportunity to study at Dawn Academy.

Her Story (II)

Alba was just a baby when I saw it for the first time. Several naughty kids had removed its fangs and tortured it brutally.
I couldn't stand such bullying behaviors, so I stepped forth to stop them. They laughed in my face, calling me a fake follower of the God of Light who couldn't even get enrolled into Dawn Academy but held the vain hope to uphold justice.
I was enraged and fought against them using my self-taught Luminatics. The very next day, those kids' parents came to my home, demanding compensation from my poor family. My father took me to apologize to them one by one, but his back never bent. He told those parents that a proper nobleman would never bully or deride the innocent.
At that moment, I knew what I wanted to become.

Her Story (III)

My parents sold all their valuables secretly and finally put together enough money to pay for my study at Dawn Academy and got me this Winding Sword. They told me to carry on what I had chosen no matter how hard this journey might be until I distinguished myself one day.
Their words have become my code of conduct ever since.
There were very few students of common origin in Dawn Academy. Even after becoming the student council president, I still couldn't cross the class barrier to making friends. But everything changed when Erica showed up in my life. One of the very few schoolmates who was willing to talk to me. She was assiduous and hardworking, and most importantly, she was not so keen on social classes. Although she was quite hard to understand and often indulged in the wildest fantasies, we studied and lived together and gradually became inseparable. She was like a younger sister to me, and I couldn't suppress the urge to take care of her.

Her Story (IV)

After my graduation, I joined the Heretics Investigation Division, where I got acquainted with Hedy, my senior, a nun at the temple.
Miss Hedy was an outstanding mentor, intelligent by natural endowments, powerful and elegant. I couldn't help wondering whether I would live up to my parents' expectations and bring honor and glory to them if I could become a person like her.
Setting Miss Hedy as my goal, I gave all I had to grow and improve, working intensively at Luminatics and completing every task the division assigned to me. After a whole year of miscellaneous trivia, I finally got my first investigation quest...
I'll prove with my action that one day I can earn other people's approval and become an upright knight just like my father, good enough to stand next to Miss Hedy.
