Her Experiences

Today's newcomer is a very capable mercenary who should be of great help to us. Even though I figured her appearance would belie her formidable skills, I never thought I'd be concerned about the mercenary... girl's physical makeup! Her body was covered in needle-like thorns, but she didn't seem to feel it at all, even trying to calm down a scared %s... She would look horrifying without that giant cloak.
As Miss Areia professed, she indeed came to help us. But aside from that, she apparently has another motive, something about a curse?

Her Story (I)

Oh, it's you. You look like you're worried about my body. It's okay, I'm perfectly fine. These thorns don't hurt. Thanks to them, I'm better than I was...
Oops, forgot to mention that I was very feeble before. Let alone this magical sword, I probably couldn't even lift a dagger.
Although I'm stronger now, my appearance does unnerve people. Luckily, I have a huge cloak to cover myself in so I don't go around spooking others. The thorns used to cut up the cloak, so I had to thicken it, but that tends to make summertime unbearable for me!

Her Story (II)

I had big health problems before... No, not the thorns, but more troublesome... like a curse.
When I was a child, unknown dark spot would appear on my skin and start to ulcerate. My parents took me to see many doctors in vain. They could only watch me grow weaker by the day.
My father then poured through the family history and found a forefather with the exact condition. My parents followed the clues and unearthed an ancestral magic sword... That's right, the very one you see! After, I gradually got better, and no more ulcerating dark spots. However, they were replaced by these thorns.
I appreciate the sword very much, but the thorns are troublesome to me. I wonder when I can live life like a normal person...

Her Story (III)

I-I had many friends, of course... Let me tell you, even though I was a bedridden child, I wasn't bored at all! There were cute sparrows, pigeons, cats, and rabbits that would come through the window to play with me, sometimes bringing a gift, like shiny rocks, lost balloons, and colorful marbles! They couldn't speak but they were my pals!
However, after the magic sword made me grow thorns, they would get hurt by them so I didn't want them to get too close. When they tried, I'd shoo them away. Yeah, I felt lonely, but it was better than hurting them...
I see you're not afraid to come near me, Navigator. Whoa, not so close, though, I don't want you to get hurt!

Her Story (IV)

I'm now a freelance mercenary for Umbraton and get troublesome jobs sometimes, but I don't mind as long as I can break the curse!
Because of the effect the sword has on me, I couldn't live with my parents and had to leave home at a young age.
Oh, let me make clear it was my decision. They didn't want me to leave. But I had to, for their own well-being and eventually for a blissful reunion. To that end, I'll continue searching for a way to lift my curse!
Maybe it's destiny that I met you on the Colossus. I heard you read a lot of books and probably know a lot of things that I don't. Perhaps you can help me lift the curse for me to reunite with my family...
