Her Experiences

How should I describe May?
She's a very small, sweet-looking girl with docile features. But for some reason, the most inexplicable words often come out of her mouth... For instance once when I ran into her by chance, I greeted her with a casual "good morning." She immediately demanded me to explain why the day before, I'd greeted her with "Good morning, how are you?", yet this time I only said "Good morning." ... She thought I hated her or something... It took me quite some time to convince her that I didn't mean anything by it. A few days after this incident, May came to me and apologized for her outburst, hoping I wouldn't hate her for it. By that time, I'd already forgotten what had happened between us... Things like this happen a lot when interacting with her, it's really puzzling.
But over time, I've come to realize that May lacks a sense of security... But I'm sure everyone's warmth and enthusiasm on the Colossus will help with this! Maybe...

Her Story (I)

There, there, my sweet baby Beau. Mommy's going to groom your hair.
%s, thank you for finding Mr. Beau. Otherwise I don't know how much longer it would take me. Beau is no longer a kitten but he still loves to play hide-and-seek with me... I might have spoiled him a little. How could any mother not giving her children the best though?
Baby Beau is my child. I know he's a cat and I'm an Aurorian but this won't affect our bond. I groom him, bathe him, feed him, keep him company at all times and protect him from dangers... Does my mother love me this much?
Ahahah.
It's a bit of a funny story actually. I was raised by a doll. Only until recently did I learn that the woman who occasionally appeared in our house was my mother.

Her Story (II)

Back then, the neighbors used to call me a "poor little mute." Everyone thought I was looking after myself and making dolls to help out with family expenses every day while my mother was never around... This confused me, and I wanted to tell everyone that there was a person named Lenore in my house who took care of me and made those dolls! I babbled, eager to explain, but they only pitied me more.
Soon my neighbors realized I wasn't actually mute, because I started imitating the way others spoke. Once I built up enough vocabulary to tell them about Lenore, a strange woman stopped me. My neighbors all smiled. "May's mother has finally returned!" they all cheered. But I was confused and ran back home. In my rush, I accidentally knocked Lenore over and learned then that she was different from all the other people around me. She didn't bleed! I began questioning Lenore's identity. The next time Mama left, I stopped winding Lenore up, even though it was a habit that'd been ingrained in me since I was young.
As expected, Lenore collapsed in a corner and ceased moving.

Her Story (III)

I stared at Lenore's body, feeling the whole world spinning around me and everything about her fading away...
Darn her! She fooled me this whole time. I mistook a doll as my family! I waited for my mother to come back to show her that I could look after myself, take care of the house and raise my own baby. Yes, that is when I adopted Mr. Beau.
When Beau turned three and had grown big and fluffy, my mother finally came back. Without even a word to me, she went over to wind Lenore up. Mother never left us again, keeping busy in Vortex. I went through mother's belongings and followed her sometimes... Until at last, I discovered her secret... My mother was a member of the True Order.
... If I earn the True Order's approval, I'm sure my mother will finally notice me!

Her Story (IV)

I sneaked into the True Order and showed Lady Victoria my determination. She was pleased... Everything went ahead as I had planned until Lenore broke in with a crimson scythe. She shouted something about needing to take care of May and bring May home. ... I hadn't known until that moment that she could speak, or that she could use Luminatics. Lenore's dramatic entrance drew Lady Victoria's attention. And then, to my surprise, Mama claimed that Lenore was my older sister. I couldn't accept that! I was Mama's only child.
In the end, Lenore joined the True Order with me, which wasn't what I'd anticipated at all. I told Mother I didn't need a puppet's care. Mother happily passed on my request to Lenore. Lenore was like that... she only ever listened to Mama, and never cared about me.
With Mother's orders in place, Lenore stopped buzzing around me. She would just sit in the corner, making strange dolls day and night. Believe it or not, she never cast a glance at me no matter what I said or did! ... But it was fine. I just wanted to prove that I was right: She was nothing but a doll without feelings.
Ha ha.
