His Experiences
The first time I saw Zhong Xu, he was sitting in a wheelchair with three cats in his arms! Three! Even though he was just sitting there in the corner, his whole body radiated a powerful aura. Yeah, that's right, that fierce look of his was like, "Don't mess with me!" However, after talking with him, I discovered that even though he seems unapproachable at first glance, he's actually a very gentle person—cold on the outside, warm on the inside. After all, people who love animals tend to be nice, so he's definitely a good person!
It's a bit sad to say this, but if Zhong Xu could stand up and walk, perhaps people would pay him more mind. I heard that he was once a general of the Zhao empire... it's easy to imagine how majestic he must've been on a battlefield. But even though he is confined to a wheelchair, his flames are very deadly. It would be unwise to make Zhong Xu angry.

His Story (I)
I was born into the Zhong family in Yangjing, Longzhou's capital. As the eldest son, I shouldered great responsibility and expectations. I was blessed for the first half of my life, and I spent my days studying and practicing martial arts—those golden years passed in the blink of an eye. When I was 13 years old, I mastered the Flame Force Arts passed down through my family and became a famous prodigy in Yangjing. When I turned 21, I wandered from military camp to military camp alone, performed remarkable exploits on the battlefield, and soon became the youngest general of the Zhao Empire.
Afterwards, the Emperor assigned me to a task of great importance and sent me on an expedition around the empire. I fought on the front lines to bring glory to the empire and led my troops across the land to pacify tumult. There wasn't a soul in Longzhou who didn't know my name! Looking back, I was so young and full of life back then...

His Story (II)
It was at that time that I was ordered to lead the army west to the kingdom of Ji to quell a pirate rebellion in the sea. On the way there, I saved the plundered Lin family caravan and became acquainted with the Lin Guildmaster. We have known each other for over ten years now.
The Lin Guildmaster was still young back then. It wasn't long after he took over the family business that the caravan encountered bandits on the road. They suffered heavy casualties, and were robbed clean. I ordered my soldiers to lay in ambush, waiting to catch the bandits at the port with their stolen goods. I then returned the goods to the Lin family. The Lin Guildmaster was very grateful to me and said that he had heard of me before. I cared not for things like reputation and fame. As a general of the empire, it was my duty to help all victims of injustice. But fated as it were, the Lin Guildmaster shared the same aspirations as me, and we ended up becoming good friends.
Before returning to Yangjing, he gave me three Dragon Li cats, whom I love very much. Since that day, these three cats and I have never been apart. I named them Yixin (Heart), Yimeng (Dream), and Yinuo (Promise). I take refuge in their namesakes.

His Story (III)
I secured many victories, continuing to rise through the military ranks, and was awarded the title of "Grand General" by the Emperor. This title is one of the highest honors a military officer can receive. Perhaps you cannot imagine what it is like to be admired by so many people. I've experienced it firsthand; it is as ephemeral as the reflection of the moon in water, a dream.
At that time, I thought that I could simply continue fighting on the battlefield with my flame arts, eradicating Eclipsites and quelling chaos. But being the best in anything is isolating, and beckons unwanted attention. I held so much power in the military that it attracted other people's envy. Rumors about me began to spread all over the empire. The Emperor was repeatedly advised to strip me of my position, and received exaggerated statements or sheer fabrications that accused me of all sorts of things. There was nothing I could say to defend myself. Was I ready to leave the arena in the shadow of such unjust disgrace? No! I was not ready to submit!
Coincidentally, at that time, the Lin Guild was paying tribute to the court, and the Guildmaster came to the capital with a caravan. Along the way, he heard the slander about me that was circulating around. It was thanks to his help that I survived that period.

His Story (IV)
The Lin Guildmaster spent a fortune and learned that there were people from the imperial court that were trying to frame me. He found me that very night to explain the matter to me. That was when I decided that it was time to set aside my ambitions and desires to achieve.
The next day, I went to the court to resign, explaining that I was tired after fighting on the battlefield for so many years and wished to give up my estate and position as an official. Everyone was happy, and then I came to the realization that matters of the court were no longer worthy of my attention. I decided to go to Ji with the Lin Guildmaster. When I left Yangjing, all I brought with me were my three cats.
From then on, I often accompanied the Lin Guildmaster, traveling with the caravan to various places. Until one day, pirates invaded the Lin Guild's ship, and almost everyone was killed. Unable to defend itself in front of the officials, the Lin Guild was mistakenly labeled as an accomplice of pirates who helped them sell stolen goods. As survivors of the shipwreck, Liqing and I were the only witnesses. Even though I lost my legs and have crossed the edge of life and death many times, I still want to return to Longzhou while I'm alive to clear the name of the Lin Family.
