The Viking Theater

The waves of different cultures were sweeping across the globe, yet they were kept out from this peninsula. The people on this peninsula seemed to be isolated from the rest of the world. Their name once made the whole Europe tremble in fear. Now they were hiding in Bergen, a quiet and peaceful city on the boundless ocean.
The Viking History Manual became the best seller at the newsstand, thanks to the steady tides of tourists.
The glory days recorded in the manual were already history. Now the people could only hear about Valhalla from the 24 inch TVs and the nonsense the elderlys uttering in their sleeps.

"No one realized that deep inside the fjord lives a Viking family with a long history ..."
An axe was held high under the spotlight.
"... And my mother Lagertha stepped into this city. She's the descendent of the Vikings and the glory of the family!"
"She had earned the people's trust after defeating all the bad guys in the town, yet she was captured by the cunning John! He tempted her to leave the fjord, like a siren singing to the sailors. How evil and despicable ... This little man! That was when the heroine Erick came in ..."

The story reached the climax and then the play came to a perfect ending. The children climbed up the stage and lifted Erick up in the air.
Her father, a policeman sitting in the audience, finally understood why his car had so many chewed gums sticked to the trunk.

April 3, A Letter
John Anderson,
I'm going to spend some days in the old house in the Sognefjord. Take good care of little Erick and don't let her take off the armlet.
(Please tell her Grandpa is out to raid.)
Harald

April 8, A Note

A Lord Feeling Betrayed

Pandora Wilson: It's a pleasure to meet you, little Erick.
Erick: Hey, don't call me "little." My axe is even longer than your arm!
Pandora Wilson: Very well ... Erick.
Pandora Wilson: Here's the question: what made you decide ... to follow your ancestors, aka the Vikings, and recreate their way of living?
Erick: For glory and Valhalla!
Pandora Wilson: ... Let me put it in a simpler way. What is your motivation behind the "raiding" at the Stillwater Lake Park and taking away their, um, duck boat?
Erick: ... For glory and Valhalla!
Pandora Wilson: Looks like you are not willing to give me a straight answer.
Erick: Th-The Jarl will never expose her great plan !
Pandora Wilson: But I learned your first mate was taken to the teacher's office and already given away your plan.
Erick: Ugh ... Henry you coward. If he didn't do my homework for me ...
Pandora Wilson: I know, he confessed that too.
